Description
Shadows on the Shore was painted on return from a month’s residency in Shetland in August 2019.
I was inspired by the colours of the coast – the dark peat covered hills and white sandy beaches against the crystal clear sea.
We could experience four seasons in a day and I have tried to capture this in my sky. I also wanted to capture the feeling of space and isolation that I felt on Shetland along with the magical quality of the light.
This painting is on a cradled board and is ready to hang.
