There is something very energising about walking by the sea. I love it best at low tide when you get a feeling of time passing as you see the marks and trails left behind by the outgoing tide.
This painting is more muted having been painted on an overcast day. However the light still shines through, reflecting off the wet sand and catching on a cloud in the sky.
